Features:
This NPK ratio works well for many different types of situations. This blend does not contain micronutrients
and is relatively safe for a number of crops. However it does contain chlorides and is not recommended
for chloride sensitive crops such as blueberries. Because it contains a high level of sulphur, it is suitable on
coarse textured soils from which sulphur leaches easily.
Directions:
These rates represent the needs of a medium textured soil. Heavy soils may require less fertilizer. It is strongly
recommended that the producer conduct tissue and soil tests. Fertilizer application should be adjusted
accordingly to avoid excessive build-up or deficiencies of one or more nutrients.
Application Rates:
Pasture: 100-500 lbs/acre depending on how intensively the crop is managed.
Lettuce: 500 lbs preplant incorporated (or 16-16-16 at 400 lbs preplant incorporated).
Rhubarb: Young plants: 300 lbs/acre applied in the year of setting.
Established: 250-300 lbs/are before growth starts, followed by
250-300 lbs/acre after growth starts, followed by an optional
3rd application of 250-300 lbs/acre after harvest OR a fall manure
application.
Spinach: 400 lbs preplant incorporated (or 16-16-16 at 500 lbs preplant incorporated)
Caution:
Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged contact with skin. If eyes or skin are exposed, flush with water. Do
not use on container stock or in greenhouse production. This is not a label; these guidelines are based on the
experiences of producers in the Fraser Valley. Always refer to soil test results before use.
